Sunday afternoon, Lucca, raining.
Waiting for Spring to come, perfect time to declutter…Homes, but not only.
And perfect time to start sharing the plans you made during winter.
For me this is the time to start writing again. Not posting on social media. Writing.
About travels and experiences, no matter where or when. It is just a way to keep a memory, for me and for those willing to read.
And as writing is just one of the way I can express myself, Tuscany and the very south of it, is just a piece of my heart, a piece of my story and of my origin.
I wasn’t there for years, never finding time, and finally I could make it to go last February.
The landscape, the flavours, the colours of the sea, pinewoods, lagoon were stunning as usual, memories started running through my veins in few seconds, my heart beat strong remembering family experiences here.
Moreover, I was caught by the beauty of the places, as if I saw them for the first time.
Giannella beach was beautiful under the winter sun. Just a few people walking their dogs, taking pictures, and the sound of the waves, the smell, I’d say the perfume of the sea.
After some business meetings I went back to the beach for sunset magic. I couldn’t miss it!
Again, and again, and again, I am totally charmed by sunsets, and there I felt as it was a never ending sunset, lasting for infinite minutes. The magic of Argentario and Maremma.
I was accommdating at Casale Voltoncino, thanks to my friends of Consorzio Maremmare and Gitav. Few steps from the beach, in the pinewood, with a fantastic in house restaurant Il Casale. Thank you all for your fantastic welcome, after so many years alway so super nice!
The following day I headed to Porto S. Stefano for other meetings and then to Orbetello, for an important conference on local tourism development.
A good chance to see lots of my business contacts and discuss future possible projects.
A good chance to walk in the old city centre of Orbetello, as well as the beautiful lagoon.
Calm, grey reflecting grey as the clouds arrived, only coloured by pink flamingos quietly standing in the water.
Blessed by the wide horizon, enjoying another stunning sunset, I drove back north, with the strong will of being back here as soon as possible.
